Part of me is also thinking with NI gathering so many new development partners (Audiobro, Soundiron, their past deals with Heavyocity, etc) that they may have some sort of "sample package" similar to Komplete up their sleeves which may involve bundles of Kontakt libraries + Kontakt 6, but this purely speculation on my part. If you are like me though and are perfectly Kontent with your current version of Komplete, I suggest waiting until the release of K11 and reevaluate. You can always wait for the next 50% off sale and enjoy K10U in the meantime. If you need something from K10U, I say buy it now, and wait and see if K11U offers anything worth another $399 upgrade price. So again, its really what your needs are. But then any upgrade from K10U to K11U will be at regular cost of $399, so it will be the same thing as if you waited to see what was in K11U and upgraded at the regular $799 price. As for what is the best move financially? With the current sale upgrading a regular K9 to K10U will cost $399. I personally only update my Komplete when new versions of Kontakt come out, so I'll be waiting for K11 at least. Its really a question of what you want or need from Komplete. Any idea if I could sell/transfer the licence for them if I bought the Komplete Ultimate upgrade? That way I won't lose out on the money I've spent on them already. I'm guessing this is because they're Heavyocity products. But I do have a question of whether I could sell those licences? NI allow for licence transfers but those two products show up as non-transferable in my NI account, even though I bought them through the NI store. Komplete 12 Ultimate full price at NI is 1199. I don't think NI would give me a refund on EM2 or Damage and nor would I expect them to. Nothing wrong with Absolute (apart from the usual bugs etc) but Komplete is a better option (IMO obvs) I’m 90 certain I’m going the Komplete route. Thirdly, for the price of Damage and Evolve Mutations 2 (and an extra £5 on top) I could have bought the half price upgrade to Komplete Ultimate which includes both products! I ended up buying Damage for half price so felt a little redeemed. Secondly, I was rather miffed at the timing of the Heavyocity 50% deal as I'd just bought Vocalise for full price a few weeks earlier and Evolve Mutations 2 for almost full price (I used a £22.50 NI voucher on it). NI have a rather tasty bundle deal going on at the moment: įirst thought: Is this a sign that Komplete 11 is approaching?
